Coastal serenity has always felt like home to me. I grew up on boats before I could walk — literally strapped into a baby carrier while my parents, both professional skiers, carved waves behind the boat. The ocean has been part of my life longer than memories have. It’s where I first learned stillness, curiosity, and respect for something far bigger than me.

I’ve been lucky enough to witness oceans around the world — sailing along the coast of Maine, drifting past ice-blue glaciers in Alaska, exploring tidal lagoons in Iceland. No matter where I go, the feeling is always the same. The water is vast, mysterious, and mostly unseen. We only ever get to view the surface, and yet it holds an entire world beneath us.

The ocean is my calm place. My quiet reset. It’s the place that reminds me to breathe, to let go, and to simply be. No matter how far I travel, it always calls me back.
