Refund Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: October 28, 2025

At Through the Looking Glass Studio, we take great pride in delivering high-quality photography experiences and products. Because our services are customized and time-based, we have established the following policy to ensure clarity and fairness for all clients.

​

1. Session Deposits and Payments

  • A non-refundable retainer or session deposit is required to secure your booking date. This deposit covers pre-session preparation and reserves your time on our calendar.

  • The remaining balance is due as outlined in your booking agreement (typically before or on the day of your session).

  • Your session is not officially reserved until the deposit has been received.

2. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Client Cancellations: If you need to cancel your session, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance. Your deposit will not be refunded, but we may allow one complimentary reschedule within 30 days (based on availability).

  • Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the session or missed appointments forfeit the deposit and may be subject to additional fees for rebooking.

  • Weather or Emergency Cancellations: For outdoor sessions, we will gladly reschedule due to inclement weather or unforeseen emergencies at no additional cost.

3. Digital Products and Prints

  • Because digital files, prints, and albums are custom-created, all sales are final once delivered.

  • If there is an issue with your order (e.g., damaged print, corrupted file, or incorrect product), please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will work to correct the issue promptly.

  • Replacement or correction will be provided at no cost in the case of production or delivery errors.

4. Real Estate, Commercial, and Event Photography

  • Due to the time-sensitive nature of these sessions, cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled shoot will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the total quoted amount.

  • If rescheduling is required for business or property reasons, please contact us as soon as possible — we’ll make every effort to accommodate changes without penalty if adequate notice is provided.

5. Refund Exceptions
Refunds may only be issued in rare cases where:

  • The photographer must cancel the session and cannot offer a reasonable reschedule.

  • A technical failure or service error prevents delivery of the agreed-upon images.
